How do I get a telephone book?
You can always obtain copies in the business office at 7 Central Street, Farmington.
If you live in exchange 269 or 776, visit Barnstead Country Store in Barnstead.
If you live in exchange 364, visit the Iron Works Market in Gilmanton Iron Works.
If you live in exchange 859, visit the New Durham General Store in New Durham.
If you live in exchange 875, visit Alton Country Supply in Alton.
How do I choose a long distance carrier?
Union Communications cannot provide you with any recommendations
as to which company will be best for you. We can provide you a list of carriers.
How do I set up a new telephone account?
Contact a customer service Specialist at 603-859-3700.
The following information will be requested:
1.Your name and the name of your co-applicant.
2.Your social security number(s) and Mothers maiden name(s).
3.The location where the service will be installed.
4.Landlord name, phone number, address and a copy of the lease.
(if applicable)
5.Contact information.
6.Previous telephone numbers.
7.Current employment.
8.Which carriers you would like for local and long distance.
9.How you would like to be listed in the telephone book.
How do I make a payment?
Union Communications bills by the calendar month and prorates the monthly charges.
Billing occurs on the first business day of the month for the monthly plan charge.
Monthly plan rates do not include applicable taxes and regulatory fees.
Union Communications payment methods:
1. Enroll in Direct Pay. You can authorize your financial institution
to deduct the amount of your
monthly telephone bill from your checking account.
2. Pay by check. Use the return envelope provided with your monthly invoice
and enclose a check
made out for the total amount due.
3. In person. Visit our office at 7 Central Street, Monday thru Friday
8:30am - 4:30pm or you may
use the secure mail slot before/after hours.
4. By Phone: Union Communications accepts MasterCard and Visa
Why did I receive a disconnect notice?
1. There is an unpaid balance carried over from your previous
telephone bill.
2. Payment has not been received*.
